and can’t get rid of the desktop icon. I done live chat with McAfee and was told to call BT, BT no help just interested in making money. Anybody know how to get rid of it (for good)? Thanks

If you have uninstalled it and the desktop icon is still there then the usual way of removing a redundant icon is to right click on it and left click on delete.
Worth a try anyway, Bert.
