Well after Summer this year I’ll be going into High-school, and from that I hope to go into a good College, considering I live in Oregon, I’d like to go to the University of Oregon, or even Oregon State. I have asked a few questions about university’s, I don’t want to get my mind to wrapped up on all of this, considering I’m still young and shouldn’t worry to much about this all, but one thing I figured is, I’d like to live in a Dorm on Campus, and I was wondering what the Dining arrangement’s are for a University. I’ve seen that quite a few of them have places such as Panda Express, and Subway in a part of the school, where all the kids usually go to eat. I was wondering, even though it may be a silly, and not so important question, but at the University of Oregon, are there fast food places on campus? Thanks
!

Storm, at the following link, you will find all of the University eateries. These are the ones where your financial aid goes towards purchasing a “meal ticket,” which is nothing more than an account which contains adequate food dollars. No one wants to see you go hungry, hence the meal plan.http://housing.uoregon.edu/dining/venues…
If these restaurants are anything like the ones at the university which my son attends, they will accept cash, also. No one will force you to purchase a meal plan; we didn’t, simply because my kid comes home for lunch.
However, if he weren’t able to come home, he probably wouldn’t eat at one of the dining halls. Our university is surrounded by numerous fast food joints, pizza shops, and Subways. I’m pretty sure all campuses have been inundated by fast food places, so don’t worry about finding something to eat.
From the looks of the menu over at Carson/Barnhart, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. http://housing.uoregon.edu/dining/todays…
