I have a computer that is not currently being used since my family got a new HP computer. We plan on using the old pc someday and when we do, I’d like to clone the hard drive. How can I go about cloning the hard drive so that my city skyline desktop picture to the high score of Shrek bowling is preserved? Could I do this with an external drive and some program like Norton Ghost? Answers appreciated

yes an external drive will do,but you can also take the drive out and use it as an external drive for the new computer ,by putting it in an enclosure
