I caught the recycler virus one time by plugging my USB into a PC at the library (won’t do that again)
If you try to remove the virus via microsoft security essentials or kaspersky, it’s just going to keep coming back.
Here is how I got rid of it completely.
I plugged my USB into my Linux computer & simply selected the virus & deleted it, then I reformatted my USB & it was gone forever!
If you are using Windows or Mac, you don’t have this option, so you’ll have to download Linux & run it from a CD/USB (without installing it)
Download Linux/Ubuntu, & burn the image to a CD or another USB by following these directions exactly:http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/do…
Boot your computer from the CD/USB, then plug up your virus ridden USB stick, then find the virus & hit delete on your keyboard (or right click it, & select delete), make sure that when you have the folder open & are deleting the virus to select “View” in the menu, then select “Show Hidden Files” & also delete the Trash folder.
Then, reformat your USB stick by following these directions.http://www.supermediastore.com/article/u…
