Which one would you recommend, AVG free edition or Microsoft Security Essential (MSE) ? and why?

Anyone know how to remove this? I’ve tried all the tutorials I’ve found and none of them worked. Malware bytes didn’t work also.

I recently went to a website called deviantART. As I was browsing, a pop-up appeared that says “Microsoft Security Essentials Alert”. I’ve done SEVERAL Virus Scans with Webroot Internet Security Essentials. Webroot hasn’t spotted anything. The Microsoft Security Essentials Alert keeps popping up. Its very annoying.
