Does Anti Virus Software Slow Your Computer Down?

   I agree with Hugh. There must be something that’s slowing down your computer. I have Avast on my machine but in only takes less than a minute to boot from scratch. Aside from scanning your computer for spyware using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, check what else are being run during startup. Use the free CCleaner and run the Startup manager.    >> Set up the system for best performance
   >> Disinfect the system

   Yes they do, but not all that much.
   You have a different problem. I’d start with a spyware scan, chkdsk and defrag to try finding the source.

   It’s true that Avast anti virus slow the PC down. You should uninstall this software and use other antivirus software like Norton or NOD32.
