    Sorry about the guesses. I can’t answer questions ‘according to the text’ when I haven’t read the text. And Latin is very strong in English but English is not a ‘romance language’ like Spanish, French, Italian, etc.

    Spanish belongs to the Latin branch of the Aryan-speaking family.
    Syntax is to do with word and phrase order.
    The Angles, Saxons ans Jutes were all Germanic tribes that invaded England in the 5th century.
    I haven’t read ‘the text’ so I’m not sure what it says but if it is correct it should say that Latin made the third most important contribution to the English language, after German and French.
    For the last one I would say that all Indo-European languages have clearly defined parts of speech as my knowledge of Indo-European languages tells me that they are all syntactically flexible.
