Found Microsoft Security Essentials In My Updates, Is It Safe?

I was looking through my system updates and this was in my optional downloads… Is it safe? Is it a fake? How can I tell if it’s the right one and not a fake? I am DEATHLY afraid of viruses so please someone answer..

    yeah its only a virus software.. I use it as my virus protection, its pretty good. You should download it if you have no virus protection, it does a good job and doesnt take up a lot of your computers resources unlike most virus software

    Yeah, it’s legit. I use Microsoft Security Essentials along with Malwarebytes Pro.

    This is safe and legit. But isn’t worth a single byte of space on your hard disk. It’s crud.
