    They don’t even come close. It’s pretty obvious, Norton is better than Microsoft Security Essentials.(Norton provides better virus & spyware protection, a firewall, and some additional tools.)     both are good, norton internet security includes a firewall and some additional antimalware features. Has some other stuff too. Microsoft Security Essentials is just an antivirus program, nothing else. Windows comes with a firewall though and you can also get a good antispyware tool like malwarebytes. You really don’t need more than that. I personally don’t see a need to pay for security software and I recommend going the free route.

    I have had both! NEVER in your life pay for norton again i have seen many cases where people have had deadly viruses and it does not pick it up, even the easiest virus to pick up it does not reconise! I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials, i am using it at the moment and it has deleted ALOT of viruses or various peoples computer! Detenction rate is about 90% on MSE and 10% on norton!

    I Personally Hate Norton, Have Done For Years. People say it’s better now than it was.. ‘It Dont live off it’s Name Anymore So to speak’ But I Still Wont Use it EVER AGAIN :)
    I Hear MSSE Is Quite Good Though :)
