After i double click it my comp asks me if i want to allow the program to make changes to my computer and then i click yes and then nothing happens. please help.

McAfee has become a TERRIBLE antivirus program; it no longer catches the latest viruses. You would be better off with a trusted, free program like Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, or Norton (free version)
there should be a small icon on the far right of the taskbar, next to the clock, of a red shield, which is mcafee. click it. if it isn’t there, try rebooting your pc.
Your computer is smart, it doesn’t want crapafee on it. Don’t install crapafee.
