I Need Help With A Stalling Computer.?

By antivirus software Posted in: Norton

I recently changed service providers. I am now with Comcast. I was getting different kind of error messages so I downloaded their constant guard and norton. I did the virus scan and all the accessories from Norton. Tonight my computer is now stalling as I type. I need to stop and let it catch up. The words come back all jumbled. This is what it looks like when I type this sentence without stopping to let it catch up. (This is what it looks liet hist s ente nces sentence with out stopping to lip it catch up). I am running windows vista with a dual hard drive. One is 60% free and one is 100% free. What do I do

Try turning off constant guard, norton & Comcast, one at a time. This will tell you if they are the cause of the problem.

The best thing to do is reinstall your operating system. If it came with disks reboot the computer and boot from CD. If it did not come with disks, depending on the brand of computer, you can go into control panel and do a factory restore. Or, you can reboot the computer and depending on the brand you push f8 or f11 to launch the restore process. That will reset your computer back to how it was brand new. So make sure you back up all important files onto a cd, dvd, or flash drive.

Re-installing the OS would only be recommended if the problem is more severe.
What you should do is simply download a system performance boosting tools like tuneUp utilities and here is a link :-http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Syste…
It will help you significantly improve your PC performance.
Your HDD has enough free space so that is not a reason for slow PC. If none of the above works then you should consider taking help from a experienced technician. Don’t try to re-install OS by yourself if you are not sure.
I hope it helps rate my answer accordingly
    Thanks
