I know about AVG, AVIRA, MSE and AVAST — Great, and they are free. I already have Kaspersky in the box in did not cost me a thing. What are your thoughts and reviews?

All i can tell you is i tried all the free ones. Including the ever popular AVG and got let down over and over again. I had to take my computer at least twice a year to get it reformatted/reload windows because of the bugs i was always getting using the free ones. I heard about Kaspersky on another website and thought i would give it a try because the last bug i had completely ruined my last computer. So when i bought a new computer i put Kaspersky on it right out of the box and i haven’t had a bug in almost a year of any kind. I learned the hard way, You get what you pay for. And i don’t care what any of those say here. The free ones, There full of security holes. If they were not, They wouldn’t be free.
I know that Kaspersky is the second best Antivirus in the world or ranked #2 but what’s good about it is that the protection is really the best only for home usage. But if you compare Avast and Kaspersky i would say they both the same, but Avast slightly beats the Kaspersky Antivirus. One Disadvantage of Kaspersky is that it works with “Windows and MAC OS” but it costs $40 for a 12month license. But with Avast for example you dont need to pay 12month license because if you register it, you get it for FREE FOR 1 YEAR but the disadvantages again is that its not compatible with MAC OS. So Kaspersky i would say is 91 out of 100 and Avast would be 93 out of 100, there is not much difference between them both. But Avast is being more downloaded then Kaspersky… hope this helped
We put it on our computer recently and it works great so far. Before that, I tried installing the 2011 version and it didn’t work (because I forgot to uninstall the 2010 version first). It works well with anti malware software, such as Malwarebites.
