I Want To Buy A New Computer But I Have A Low Budget ($650)?

By antivirus software Posted in: Norton

Right now I have an old hp with duo core cpu 3gb of ram and a 4300/4500 series graphics card… I use my computer to play Star Wars the old republic (swtor), and League of legends. I basically want something to handle swtor at medium graphics and be able to multitask. I want to notice a difference.
Buddget around $650 and I dont need a monitor, mouse,or keyboard.
I am thinking of buying this from hp.com
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium [64-bit]
AMD FX-6100 six-core processor [3.3GHz, 6MB L2/8MB L3 Cache]
FREE UPGRADE to 6GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM [3 DIMMs] from 4GB
1TB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive
Microsoft(R) Office Starter: reduced-functionality Word & Excel w/ ads. No PowerPoint or Outlook
Norton Internet Security(TM) 2012 – 15 month
2GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 530 [DVI, HDMI, VGA adapter]
300W Power supply
SuperMulti DVD Burner
Wireless-N LAN card (1×1)
15-in-1 memory card reader, 2 USB 2.0 (front), audio, 2 USB (top rear-facing)
Beats Audio ™ — integrated studio quality sound
$668.04 After tax and shipping
Please give me any suggestions maybe a different brand or different set up.

Like “Someone” said up here, best option will be to build one.
You spend less and get more (of what you want). And there is no tax or shipping on Newegg.com, unless you live in TN, NJ or CA.
Buy a cheap $40 to $60 PC Case with power supply mounting on the bottom (better air flow and cooling)
    Buy an Intel Core i3-2100 ($125) and a Z68 chipset LGA1155 socket motherboard ($108)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
    Buy 8GB DDR3 RAM (2 x 4GB) of G.Skill Ripjaws X Series either 1600 or 1333 ($40 to $50)
Buy a 1TB Seagate Barracuda SATA III (6.0Gb/s) hard drive ($65)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
    Buy a GeForce GTX460 graphics card ($150)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
Buy a good 600 watts power supply ($60) – Cooler Master, Antech, OCZ, Corsair, etc.
    TOTAL: $515
Go for an Intel Core i5-2500K (much better, that’s what I recommend) and it goes up to $615http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
Add another $100 for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

First off, don’t buy an HP. Build your own. Best way to go. You can get exactly what you want instead of picking from crap like this. Case in point:
    1. FX 6100? An i3 2100 will easily outrun it in games, or for a few bucks more you can get an i5 2×00 CPU that will beat it senseless. Don’t bother with a Faildozer.
    2. The video card is lousy for gaming.
    3. 300w is garbage. Any good video card won’t work on that.
$650 is a bit on the low side, but you can still assemble a decent gaming rig for that price. Hunt around on Newegg.

I agree with Someone! HP might be one of the worst companies you can buy. Try Dell or Acer they tend to be pretty good machines. Second do not build your own unless you know what you are doing because if you don’t you will spend hours researching the parts and finding them online. It is not responsible time management wise.
Its up to you HP i had bad experience with their computer did not keep up to the speed i thought it would run at. But that was probably from the porn oh well it was worth it. Their customer service is just below average that is why i say don’t get, but it you can’t find another computer with those specs at that price go for it.

nothing wrong with pc just the power supply
a gamer needs at least 600 watt supply.
generally HP,DELL etc only put those in their GAMER models
that they charge twice as much for.
you just need to think built it myself
    go get a BAREBONES box.
you get stuffed with the opsys, but you get the right box.
the above HP has a SOCKET AM3+ thats what you want
chances are the rest just dont matter much.
i live in the uk, but found this one with 600 watt supply, just need WINDOWS
there are better mobo’s but you need a good deal
