k so i have avast! Free Antivirus, AVG 2012(free), Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and McAfee Security Scan Plus(free). I downloaded these all off of cnet.com so i just downloaded them think ing its extra protection. If its bad to have more than one, then tell me which ones you recommend to get rid of.

Yes, it’s bad, get rid of AVG, Avast is a much better AV, they will conflict with each other, and cause problems. You can keep MBAM.
Get rid of crapafee also.
You are trying to put several pitbulls in one cage. They’ll kill each other!
Just leave Avast and Malwarebytes. They won’t clash as MBAM is not an antivirus. It’s just an antispyware. Besides, Avast also have Web Filter add-on so you won’t need the Mcrappy Security Scan Plus. Also, if you have the pro version of MBAM, it can block malicious websites. In fact, it won’t even allow any other any other web checking programs.
In my case, I use Avast but disable the web filtering feature and let MBAM do that job.
It’s not right to run more than one anti-virus program in the same computer.Using more than one program (or even multiple versions of the same one) will lead you to some problem.Which includes,
You will use up too many resources on your computer. Doing this will more than likely slow your system down and it will truly affect your computer’s performance. You could also receive some false virus alerts too.
Its not bad but why to waste your system space by downloading 2 or 3 antivirus programs.Sometimes it make your pc to run slowly too. just use one best antivirus like COMODO,AVG etc to keep your pc safe from hijackers, keyloggers, trojans etc.
It just depends on the antivirus software. I’ve run AVG for years and never gotten a virus. I ran McAfee and AVG at the same time and had no problems.
not bad
