Is your Kaspersky LED showing GREEN and saying your computer is protected? If it is then that means Kaspersky did the job and you don’t need to do anything. What you don’t want is malware in the ‘Active threats’. This means you and Kaspersky can’t deal with the threats and malware are not treated. If you ever get them, them go to the forum and they help you. A big clue if you have them in ‘Active threats’ is when your LED is RED and saying your computer is at risk.http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?sho…
The ‘Quarantine’ link is for you to quarantine suspect/infected files from your computer and from your removal drives (USB, external hard drives and so on) into the quarantine folder. It’s confusing in that aspect because clicking on ‘Quarantine’ doesn’t take you to the quarantine folder itself.
The ‘Disinfect all’ button is greyed out because no further action is needed. What you’re seeing are backup copies. The ‘Help’ section explains more for you and I took the excerpts from there so you can see how Kaspersky works.
Go to ‘Help’ then go to the ‘Index’ tab and then scroll down to ‘Scan: action on deleted object’ and hit ‘Display’ and you will see this
‘If you work in automatic mode, Kaspersky Antivirus will automatically apply the action recommended by Kaspersky Lab’s specialists when dangerous objects are detected. For malicious objects this action is Disinfect. Delete if disinfection fails.’
‘Before attempting to disinfect or delete an infected object, Kaspersky Antivirus creates a backup copy of it to allow later restoration or disinfection.’
