Keep Getting This About:blank On My Xp Pro, Have Researched Yahoo Answers?

   Move to Firefox, get “NoScript”.
   When the “about:blank” comes up, mark as ‘forbidden’.
   NoScript blocks all kinds of exploits, and/or mis-interpreted/poorly written scripts…it’s invaluable when using Windows on the Internet.

   that is a default home page, and really could be ,malware but running too many anti-malware is worse than just 1.
   safe mode wont help, probably since it seems clear you are noob to this.
   you can simply reset your home page in your broaswer and most have this both in the menu bar as well as in the options.
   if it is malware, it will change back.
   then running in safe mode will require network access and updating your anti-malware, i suggest only 1.
   however, you may have to research all the running processes in your systme in regular mode to find the culrpit before switching to safe mode. then clear your cache, edit the registry, clear temp files, and remove the folders of the offender as well as turn of resdtore as malware presently infects that folder too. this is risky if you have made other poor decisions on your system.
   once fixed, you will find that running your systme in user mode instead of admin will prevent this better than anti-malware does.

   this would sometimes happen if your pc is full , check the hard drive is not full , if so then you will have to delete some programs off your pc, download windirstat to see what is using all the space from http://www.cnet.com if not then go to security.symantec.com and scan for all know viruses if all these fail then check out my youtube links or google plus me at ianmccully thanks
