Keyboard Barely-not Working Toshiba Satellite?

By antivirus software Posted in: Norton

Toshiba Satellite L775D-S7226 (1 month old) Laptop. Standard PS/2 Keyboard. Mouse working properly. Windows 7 x64 based PC.
Now to the problem….. One day I was using ooVoo chatting to a friend and tried to type in GameRanger and my keyboard suddenly started spamming like hell. Many keys were totally not working and some were falsing entering. For example”k” would show up on screen as “ui”. So I used on-screen keyboard and used malwarebytes. NO VIRUSES. Used AVG NO VIRUSES. Used Norton NO VIRUSES. So I did a system restore same deal. Heres where this REALLY becomes dangerous……. Keyboard doesn’t work on start up screen…..USB plug in keyboards don’t work…. I mean im in desperation. If all your gonna say is ” warranty ” please don’t comment. This problem obviously requires real experts. Step By Step Please.

  1. Snitch Says

    Open Device Manager
Double Click on Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard
    Driver Tab
    Uninstall
    Reboot
    Windows will re-install the driver.
If it is still bad, . . . . . . .it is not that uncommon to get one with a bad keyboard.
Could someone else have used it and spilled a drink on it?
