Obsessing About What Brother Said/did…is This Bad?

ok so its not that I always want my older brothers approval but I kind of do. I always get my oldest brothers approval on stuff so its not a big deal with him. But my older brother and I have a history of being really mean to each other and arguing constantly. recently, since he’s gone to college, he’s become a lot nicer to me. Anyways, the other day I got jumped and the only person I told was my oldest brother who obnoxiously told my older brother. I have a lot of scratches and bruises from it but I am fine. Well my older brother and I were chatting and he asked me about exactly what happened and I told him and when I was done he checked out some of my scratches/cuts and suggested some things for me to do to help them heal quicker. and while he was looking at the cuts on my neck he grimaced and looked really sad/hurt and sort of shook his head. Then I said come on, lets go out and toss the football. so we did and we had a lot of fun and talked about different stuff and at the end when we were going inside for lunch he put his arm on my shoulder and said “your a strong kid Dale” and lightly patted me and walked inside. I know this sounds lame but it really meant a lot to me. everything. the advice, the fact that he felt really bad for me and looked in pain when he was looking at my cuts, and what he said to me. But I have found myself since lunch time sort of obsessing about all these small things and constently thinking about them. I know this is probably really weird and that is why I am concerned. Why is this such a big deal for me? Like sure, I got his approval and it really feels like I finally have 2 brothers that really care about me as opposed to 1 and sometimes 2. Am I strange? Is this weird?

Not wierd at all..just shows you care for them.& they care for you.

Awe… I feel bad for you for getting jumped – this is a mothers worst nightmare – and I have 3 children. First, are you OK? Second, do you fear for yourself? Third: when you say you were jumped, was it by only one kid or several? Fourth: If you are scared for safety – Please notify your parents and or your school -
Now that I said all of that – No, it is not werid… All 3 of my kids fight, ALL the time – sometimes they fight so bad that I want to run away!!! lol
But in the end, they know that they are family and love eachother and will do anything for one another! Sometimes it takes longer to realize this and sometimes it takes a situation as yours to make your brother take a step back and grow up… In the end, it’s you and your brothers against the world… It’s ok to a point when you guys fight, but know in the end, they have your back and would never want anything bad to happen to you…..
