I have Microsoft Security Essentials and I’m not sure if I should stick with it, or switch to AVG Free. What’d think?

I use an Windows XP Professional SP2 OS.

i am using avast free version but some time it blocks my laptop ports

I don’t want to pay for anti-virus software so do you know any good free software that is just as good as payed software? I heard of microsoft security essentials but i dont know if that will protect my computer good
