I have the Cloud Protection virus. In an attempt to remove it, I have tried: -Malwarebytes -Avast -Spyware Doctor I have tried these with and without safe mode. I don’t have a System Restore checkpoint. Is there any other way I can remove this or should I give up all hope?

I have heard that windows defender is at least as good, and I have that. I also have ad-aware which was also free. I wonder why I need to keep paying for McAfee?
