Every time I switch to a new website, it will load almost completely and then stall/freeze for 15-20 seconds and then finish loading. I have run CC Cleaner, defrag, and I have Norton installed and running.
If I try to click the mouse during the freeze, it shows (not responding) up top, before it finally comes back.
What is causing this and how can I fix?
Thanks!

It’s the site. Web sites today have tons of Java script from other ad sites and animation embedded in the background. It’s a sign of the times. You can make the pages load faster by blocking scripts. Download and install Firefox. There is an add-on called NoScript to block scripts. Pages load lightning fast.
But the down side is all those scripts are for hot links and other items that make the site usable. If you disable them all you cannot click any links. But the script blocker lets you enable only what scripts you need.
Highly recommended.
Internet Explorer is a lousy browser, and Norton is a lousy Anti Virus.
Get a Google Chrome and Kaspersky Internet Security and rule your world with power surfing and security.
>> Update Browsers
>> Run disk cleanup
>> Update device drivers
>> Manage background services and optimize internet settings of your system for best performance through Reginout
What browser are you using? Have you tried using a different one? Try out Firefox or Chrome and see if the problem still exists.
