If you still have XP or lower then I would recommend McAfee and make sure your Windows firewall is turned off. If your running Windows Vista or above, then the Windows firewall may be good enough. I used to really love Zone Alarm and I think I would turn off the Windows firewall and still use Zone Alarm if I could afford it.

Your Windows security should detect that you have McAfee on. It shouldn’t interfere but depending on the version of windows you have, like Xp then its best to turn off your Windows Firewall and make sure you turn on the McAfee Firewall. MCafee might block some of your programs at first, so make sure your settings are setup correctly.

Third party firewalls are unnecessary and often cause more problems than they solve.
