Great question Big Green for me it has to be Howard Davis Jr. Davis won an Olympic gold medal in 1976 and was voted the most outstanding boxer in the Olympics not a small feet considering who all fought in those games Sugar Ray Leonard, Leon Spinks, Michael Spinks, Aaron Pryor, Leo Randolph all Gold medal winners. Howard had two shots at the title but came up short twice. I was shocked he was a pure boxer not great power but enough to keep you honest. When people talk about hand speed his name never comes up I guess because he was never a great pro but as far as hand speed there was no one faster.Howard had everything a fighter could dream of in terms of ability he just was not good enough as a pro.You know the fight I all ways wanted to see was Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Howard Davis Jr. wow you would have needed a time laps photography camera to see the punches. If you missed him go to you tube and look him up one of the best pure boxers who has ever lived.

Sam Langford: Sam Langford was born on March 4, 1883 in Weymouth Fall, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was known as the “Boston Bonecrusher”, “Boston Terror,” and infamous “Boston Tar Baby.” Standing only 5 ft. 7 inches and weighing 185 lbs, he fought greats from the lightweight division right up to the heavyweights, beating many champions in the process. However, he was never able to secure a world title for himself and is regarded by many as the greatest titleless boxer of all-time. He was enshrined in the Ring Boxing Hall of Fame in 1955, the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990, and Ring magazine founder Nat Fleischer rated Langford as one of the ten best heavyweights of all-time.

off the top of my head, herol graham. although he was boring in ‘trying’ to win the title from mccallum, he was outstanding against jackson (up to the point where he got kayoed). and kalambay always seemed to have his number.

George Chuvalo, he is the definition of a class act and when he was in the ring he was afraid of nobody. There is no quit in this guy.
