I just installed Norman Security Suite on my laptop, and now F1 2010 won’t run on my GT540M but runs on the integrated graphics instead, which makes the whole game so laggy. Is Norman the root of the problem? Should i uninstall it and install avg or some other antivirus instead?

The switching tech. probably doesn’t recognize the game as needing it. Try manually switching it. Remember, the computer will always THINK it is on the Intel HD, as, when the 540 is activated, it gives its data to the Intel HD which puts it on the screen, so the computer thinks the Intel HD is doing it.
If that doesn’t work, tha antivirus is probably taking up all your system’s resources, in which case, you’ll have to disable it or get rid of it. Try Microsoft security essentials, I use it and it works fine and still lets me play demanding games (crysis 2, mass effect 2)
