I run a full system scan and it says, x number of threats identified, x number of threats fixed. I bought this high class Norton product to prevent any malicious attacks. Why is it that some threats are getting through, when I have this product in the first place? Shouldn’t this product block out these threats? If it can identify and recognize a threat after I initiate a scan, I would think that the product would be sophisticated enough to block these out in the first place, so that there is nothing to even fix at all.
Please explain.

From my own experience, norton products are ***** useless. Trust me it consumes lots of ram and offers low level protection. If you really want paid products, choose kapersky or eset nod. Other free antiviruses such as avast perform much, i say much better than norton 360 from my experience. I suggest you to switch to avast if you want good protection or the paid ones i stated.
To fix your problem, download malwarebytes antimalware (its free) and superantispyware (free too), update and run a full scan, works 90% of the time. You may use Hitman pro 3.5 too.
Heres the link : http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and http://www.superantispyware.com/.
