I got avast and it came with a firewall. I’m wondering if I can have it on with Windows firewall.

If you install Avast and enable their firewall then make sure Windows Firewall is disabled. If not it will slow you computer down or render your computer useless.

still I suggest you. If in you computer windows firewall is on then don’t install any other. that will slow your computer in some cases.
Yes, basically its just an anti-virus additional PC security and Windows Firewall should recognize it.
