So I was on Facebook, and I took a few quizzes and something popped up it says it’s Windows Defender but i’ve never even heard of that. it says I have alot of threats to my computer but my computer is working fine, it’s moving quickly and hasn’t changed since the first day i got it. But when I get on Microsoft Security Essentials which is my Anti- Virus program it detects no threats?

It’s a fake Windows Defender, not the one that is part of Windows. Also the one that is part of Windows was turned off when you installed Microsoft Security Essentials.
If it was a web page that said you had a lot of threats then just ignore it. If it appears there is a program on your computer telling you that you have threats then download and run a scan with Malwarebytes.http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/mal…
I had something similar to this. Its probably some one tried to get into your computer through facebook and Microsoft quickly warned you. It happens when you go into a site that has like a billion people and there is someone constantly trying to ruin someones life. But when you get this sort of thing, you should scan the computer to be on the safe side. Well good thing you have some sort of firewall. Just a friendly advice, did you take Kaspersky firewall in consideration. I have it and it protects my computer without any lag like Zonealarm. Oh and those quizzes are somewhat like a gate to getting hacked, you are giving information without knowing it. Oh and Windows Defender is a warning system if you main firewall misses something, I think. I rarely have that thing show up. Might be a backup.
Why do you have so many anti-virus programs? Get rid of one of them, each one is different, but its probably just a false-detect. Having more then one slows down your computer.
I don’t even use a anti-virus and my firewall is always disabled, simply because I’m careful when browsing and I can tell whats real or not.
Its not windows defender, it just looks like it. Its a spyware program. It wants you to buy their antivirus or spyware remover. They infect your computer and then offer the solution. Marketing 101, lol. Get a real anti virus and it should find it no problem.
all you need is malwarebytes , superantispyware , Avast free antivirus , and comodo firewall
THEY ARE ALLL FREEEEE
