Windows Protection Scamware?

By antivirus software Posted in: Norton

What… the hell… No virus software ever catches it, I just got it like 30 minutes ago and it did not spam itself everywhere, it deleted every essential file in my system and set me back months! Norton 360 did not help, what does.
looks something like this, there are a BUNCH of them like this though. http://www.fasterpccleanclean.com/images…

    1. Why are you not using free WOT ?http://www.mywot.com/

    2. Windows Protection Suite = malware, not a virus.

    3. Norton is known to miss on some forms of malware, so people run malwarebytes along side Norton because of this.
    4. No virus software ever catches it – because malware is not classed as a virus.

This is a fake and rogue spyware/antivirus program as you might already know. Norton 360 isn’t really the best at catching viruses or other things. Much better is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware which you can download from their official site: http://malwarebytes.org/
When you click download on their official site it might redirect you to a third-party site to download it. This is done so that no one can hack the download link or anything so it constantly changes site that host Malwarebytes. Just make sure to download Malwarebytes if it does redirect you and once you download it make sure to run a full scan and remove the threats found.

The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I got it through using a “Free TV” site. It wouldn’t let go until I paid it monies. With my laptop I googled the exact culprit and found a useable key to enter into the wretched program’s website and that let me get into “Safe Mode” to set my computer back 2 weeks. This eliminated their program and icon. Without the useable “key” I would have had to pay them for a “key”.
Before setting my computer back I used every piece of software I could think of to get rid of it, and none helped. AVG, Spybot, ASC5, were useless. My Spybot boot disk that I paid $40 for out of Ireland wouldn’t kick out the bastard.
Find a useable “Key”, then restore.

Your files are probably hidden. I don’t think it delete all your files. Not sure which malware you’ve got but maybe this removal guide will help you: http://deletemalware.blogspot.com/2011/1…
    Good luck!
